The Great Commission is “The Mission”
“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” – Matthew 28:19-20

Acts 1:8 is the strategy of the Church “On Mission”
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” – Acts 1:8

Missions is not something we do, it is who we are. PVBC started as a church plant to reach the military personnel of the former Bainbridge Naval Base. We have continued that vision to reach not only the members of our local community, but the nations. PVBC reaches our local community through a wide variety of ministry programs & services.

We have partnerships with two crisis pregnancy centers in Cecil & Harford counties – Alpha’s Glory & Cecil Crisis Pregnancy Center. We participate in local parades & the annual Cecil County Fair. We have planted Lighthouse Baptist Church in Rosedale, MD, and we also work with the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention.

On an international front, we support the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention to help fund over 5,500 missionaries worldwide. We have ministry partnerships in the Philippines & Ecuador. We have sent short-term mission teams to Africa, Philippines, Ecuador, Russia & Ukraine.
