Gods CallGod's Call is a dynamic group of Junior & Senior High school singers who love the Lord. Something that we continue to remind our students of is that …..we’re not called to perform, we’re called to minister. We are not on stage, or the beach, or wherever it may be, to present ourselves, but we are there by the Grace of God to present the Living Christ. Our students are encouraged to communicate the love of Christ in every word that is sang, and every performance that is seen. They must connect with their audience. To do that they must be “real” and genuine. Very importantly…..we certainly do not suggest that because ministry is the goal, mediocrity is acceptable. The opposite is actually true….because we represent the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, our Music Ministry should be the most excellent sacrifice of praise that we could possibly offer. For most of our students, “God’s Call” is their first ministry experience, and we try to encourage it to be done very passionately and sincerely!!! We sing monthly at Calvert Manor Nursing Home and it is such as joy to watch the students reach out to these senior adults.  The residents love to see our brightly colored tie-dyed t-shirts.  We also put on a Christmas program the first weekend in Decembery and a concert in the Spring.  They are eager to learn new songs and enjoy learning sign language and expressive signing.  In 2009, we had the opportunity to sing the National Anthem at Ripken Stadium.

As the choir director, I am so blessed to be able to work in this ministry and with these students . . . seeing them grow spritually is awesome.  We are always looking for more members to add to God's Call, so please feel free to contact me if you are interested.
